At ECM we understand that the most critical time frame is the first few days or even hours after a claim occurs. We provide systems and protocols for the prompt investigation and determination of the claim. We also engage management medical resources from the onset of every claim. Each claim is reviewed by a supervisor and a nurse case manager whom all work from the same system to coordinate information and data relevant to the claim.
As a follow-up to the claim, ECM provides regular claim reviews, monthly statistical reports, a quarterly analysis & stewardship, and we also provide yearly forecasting for our clientele.
Our annual forecasting and stewardship reports analyze the aggregate data so our clients have a clear view into their program costs, which areas trended towards specific financial exposures, and through our Key Performance Indicators we will supply our clients with the ability to control and mitigate future claims exposures.
At ECM we support multiple claims intake processes; a client can either email us the first report of injury, fax it to our corporate office, or we can provide a 1-800 telephonic reporting number that allows our clients to report the claims seven days a week 24 hours a day. Upon receipt of the first report of injury both the assigned supervisor and adjuster are giving a confirmation email of the new claim assignment. We require that initial contact be made is soon as possible, and that a follow-up confirmation to the insured will provided via email to the designated contact. The claim acknowledgment will provide the adjuster and supervisor contact information including the claim number and date & time of receipt of the claim.
